Name Tags

Name tags are essential in retail and service professions. Often, customers hesitate to approach someone if they do not know for certain that that person is an employee–in some cases you will lose business because a potential client doesn’t feel comfortable or doesn’t know whom to seek out. Make sure that employees are clearly identified-We can help you do that with a touch of class.

You can also use name tags to make sure that customers address your employees in a manner with which they feel comfortable. At a family restaurant, you may want employees to introduce themselves by name and customers to feel casual and familiar. In offices, however, you may prefer clients to maintain a sense of professional distance and refer to your staff as Mr., Ms., or Dr. A name tag which presents the employee’s identity as you want clients to know it is a tactful and tasteful way of engendering comfort without undue familiarity. In that case, employees also feel a greater sense of responsibility, as they have a consistent reminder of their role within the company and of the respect you feel they deserve when they perform that role.

Sizes and Styles of Name Tags

We offer several varieties of name tags. We have a 1 x 3 inch oval name tag, which has a limit of one line of text with 12 characters, including spaces. It can be selected in a variety of plastic colors–some bright and fun, others understated and very professional. We also offer a 1 x 3 inch rectangular model which can fit up to 22 characters on one line. The same materials and fonts are available for this size. If you want to include an employee’s name and position, you’ll be better off with a 1.25 x 3 name tag which can fit two lines of up to 22 characters each. Each line can have a different font of a different size, if you like. For the extreme in imparting information, we offer a 1.5 x 3 rectangular name tag with three lines, all of which can be a different size and font.

You can choose the type of attachment for your name tags, as well. Magnetic attachments are great for attaching name tags to animals’ cages at pet shows, or to any other wire or metal frame. They are also perfect for using with nice clothes, since they won’t poke holes in the fabric. Standard pin attachments are suitable for attaching name tags to most clothing. We also offer badge adaptors, which are clips with a plastic strip attached–you can take a name tag with the pin back and pin it on to the plastic strip. Then you can clip the entire thing onto your jacket, shirt, belt, or bag.
