Luggage Tags
Brass luggage tags are a great way to identify your suitcases, as well as any number of other personal and valuable items that you may carry with you. At our company, we’ve made engraved luggage-style tags for people to use on cameras and camera bags, laptops, gym and golf bags, pet crates and carriers, briefcases, binders, and daily planners–among other items. Since many people have otherwise similar luggage, planners, bags, and so forth, distinctive tags are a great way to help make sure no one accidentally picks up something that belongs to you. They also decrease the chances that someone will do so maliciously, as people realize that in an office or airport, you could easily be nearby and see your tagged belongings walking off with someone other than yourself.
Even in an airport where you can get a tag if you need one, engraved brass luggage tags are a far better option. The flimsy paper tags that you get from the airline when you check your baggage can be easily removed or torn, and from any distance they look exactly the same as everyone else’s. In addition, the people waiting in line behind you will be grateful when you don’t have to take the time to write out all of your contact information on tags for the multiple bags that each member of your family has brought.
Styles of Luggage Tags
We offer several styles of attractive luggage tags. Our smallest option is a brass oval, 1.36 inches x 2.5 inches. The lettering is black on gold, with a choice of two Roman type styles. You can have one or two lines of text, which is usually ideal for a name and phone number. (We recommend, however, that you do not put your full name and phone number, as this can compromise your safety. A first initial, no first name at all, a business name, or “The Jones Family” are all better ideas.)
If you want to include more text, you should consider our 1.5 inch x 3 inch rectangular brass luggage tag, which can fit one to four lines. Our largest size is a rectangular 2 inch x 3.5 inch tag, which can also fit up to four lines of text. These styles both give you the choice of the same two Roman style fonts, which will be engraved in black on gold. All of our luggage tags come with gold split rings, which make them easy to attach and virtually impossible to remove accidentally.
